Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy is dry puppy food made for breeds that will reach 50 pounds or more at maturity. Chicken and rice anchor the formula, and the nutrition is calibrated for the controlled, steady growth that large breed puppies need from the start. This is the 18 lb bag, practical for breeders or households going through food at a consistent pace.
Key Features
Large Breed Specific Formula: Built for puppies that will exceed 50 pounds full grown, where growth rate and skeletal development need specific nutritional management.
Chicken First Ingredient: Real chicken provides the protein base for healthy muscle development through the entire puppy phase.
Controlled Growth Support: Large breed puppies that grow too fast face joint and bone risks later. This formula is structured to support a steady, appropriate growth rate.
Rice for Digestible Energy: A clean carbohydrate that gives growing puppies consistent fuel without digestive disruption at a stage when their systems are still developing.
Calibrated Calcium and Phosphorus: Large breed puppies need different mineral ratios than small breeds. The formula accounts for this rather than using a generic puppy profile.
18 lb Bag: Suits breeders running multiple large breed dogs or a single large breed puppy through the full growth phase.

Why Choose This Food ?
Large Breed Growth Is Not the Same as General Puppy Growth: Fast growth in large breeds puts real stress on developing joints. A food built specifically for this stage reduces that risk meaningfully.
Mineral Balance Done Right: The calcium and phosphorus levels in this formula are set for large breed development, not copied from a standard puppy recipe.
Trusted by Large Breed Breeders: Breeders producing golden retrievers, German shepherds, labs, and similar breeds rely on this formula because the results are consistent litter to litter.
Practical Bag Size for the Growth Phase: Large breed puppies eat more than small ones, and the 18 lb bag keeps up with that without constant reordering.
The right food for a big puppy is not just any puppy food, and Pro Plan Large Breed is built specifically for the demands of growing large.
